The repairs to the stonework have finally started!

The scaffolding was erected during May 2024.

The stone mason is now at work. Parts of the stonework have been removed for inspection. The intention is to determine the precise extent of the repairs so that we are aware of all the issues at the earliest stage of the works.

We take this opportunity to express our thanks to the following bodies who have contributed to the funding of the project and made it all possible:

  • All the people who have kindly donated to our fund
  • The Village Trustees
  • Ecclesiastical Church Insurance
  • National Churches Trust
  • The Wolfson Foundation
  • Garfield Weston Foundation
  • Benefact Trust

A tour round the church

An early example of Gothic Revival architecture, we are dedicated to promoting and preserving the church through our Kings Norton Church Restoration Fund.

'Of the churches of the Early Gothic Revival this is one of the most remarkable in England ... The whole and especially the tower show a seriousness of purpose not surpassed before 1800... The interior is wonderfully complete and unchanged'  Pevsner.  King's Norton Parish Church guide Leicester 1976.
